9 weeks and counting!!!!

Lovely week for many reasons, Wednesday went to Portishead to the Chiropractor so he could 'straighten' me out ready for the training in Yorkshire next weekend. 3 peak in the Dales in 2 days! Mum came too her first visit since her hip op so Tom was very gentle with her. It was lovely just to have the day to ourselves and had the obligatory visit to our favourite Brackenwood Nursery on the route so I could buy some plants for a customers' garden (any excuse).  Then went back to collect plants and have lunch after we'd been to Tom. He did say I was looking trimmer and fitter than last time I saw him and did a general 'MOT' as he calls it and crunched and popped a few bits. Came out feeling great and about 2 inches taller than when I went in!!

I Have had the list of other people going on the training weekend so scanned down to see if any of the telephone numbers were local but didn't recognise any so I was quite surprised to get an email from someone in Trowbridge (about 15 miles from me) who is doing the trip too. We met up today at Bathampton and walk up through Bathford to Browns' Folly. It was a bit grey but nice and cool, then it started to drizzle and then on the way back to Bathford it just got heavier and heavier, that's when you find out that shower proof does mean just that and NOT waterproof! Thinking it was only going to be a brief shower I didn't bother to put my waterproofs on. I also found out that my jacket was also only shower proof and the zips, unless completely covered, weren't water tight either. All good things to check before next weekend.

Starting to get quite excited now though I'm sure I will have a few wobbles in the next 9 weeks. Just watching Joanna Lumley in China and Beijing looks very scary all those tall buildings I'm sure I shall feel claustrophobic and I wish we were going to get to see the bit of the wall Joanna visited. It all looks amazing.

Hoping to confirm the new date for the Charity Auction later this week.
